In order to improve the capacity of training and research and strengthen cross-sector cooperation in quality management and food safety, the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology (Hanoi University of Technology) and the Institute Food Safety held the QMFS 2017 Scientific Conference from 18-20 October 2017 in Hanoi.
The workshop announced new research results, exchanges of experiences between scientists, managers and businesses on issues related to food safety.
Representative of GS1 Vietnam was invited to attend and report at the Plenary Session of the Conference with subject “Applying the GS1 standards in Determining the Origin of Agro-food Products”. This report contributes to promote the role of the Directorate for Standards and Quality (STAMEQ) in managing and researching the application of GS1 numbering and bar coding into a multidisciplinary fields especially in the field of food quality management and food safety.
