In order to promote GS1 traceability standards in Vietnam, this year, GS1 Vietnam has cooperated with some Departments of Standardization, Metrology and Quality and other organizations such as the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology (Hanoi University of Technology), the Institute of Food Safety, the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Association, the Vietnam Anti-counterfeiting Association and the Vietnam Textile & Garment Association to host successfully training workshops on developing local standards, local technical regulations and applying GS1 standards for traceability as well as for anti-counterfeiting in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities, in Lam Dong and An Giang provinces.
Attending the events there were leaders from the Departments, the People’s Committees of districts and cities, the Economic Department and related Associations, Branches and Centers in the provinces. There were of cause representatives from cultivating, producing, trading and exporting companies in the areas.
The training workshops has guided the implementation of GS1 traceability standards such as:
– Concept of traceability;
– Theories of practical reasoning and the need to make and get the traceability;
– Benefits and the way of adopting GS1 traceability standards etc.
Delegates are aware of the main content of the workshops and wished to continue be guided the application of these standards and solutions in practice.
