In order to support GS1 Vietnam’s new members as well as other interested bodies in Hanoi and surroundings to have general knowledge about GS1 system, to understand and follow related regulations on applying GS1 numbering and bar coding, at the end of November 2016, GS1 Vietnam organized the “Basic GS1 numbering and barcoding application” training course in Ha Noi.
Attending the training course, there were representatives from GS1 Vietnam new members in Hanoi and others from neighbor provinces. After the open remark of Mr. Pho Duc Son – GS1 Vietnam CEO – was the introduction on GS1 international, GS1 Vietnam and related system of legal documents, helped the audiences to acknowledge the importance and the meaning of GS1 numbering and bar coding usage for managing, manufacturing and trading activities. Then, Ms. Phan Hong Nga – GS1 Vietnam executive manager – presented basic GS1 specifications and standards as well as other specific applications to manage trade items through the supplying chain. Ms. Phan also provided guidelines on assuring bar code print quality, raised requirements relating to GTIN, SSCC, GLN allocation rules which in fact almost of enterprises often meet. The participants had chances to practice to understand by heart scientific methods of GS1 keys allocation for meeting all demands from their partners at present as well as in the future.
The training course improved awareness of enterprises about GS1 numbering and bar coding regulations for applying efficiently this technology into their working operations.
